Canoeing, kayaking and tubing trips on the easy going Dan River in Rockingham County depart from Dan River Campground. Canoe or kayak trips are available on the Mayo River also. River bank camping for groups and canoe in campers is available. This area of the Dan provides good water levels all season, pretty scenery and peaceful quiet. We are located just 30 minutes from Greensboro, Winston-Salem, NC and Martinsville, VA and 2 hours from Raleigh or Charlotte.
